The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the category-wise official cutoff marks for JEE Main 2026 online along with the result announcement. To know cut off percentile category wise, check below table:

JEE Main NTA Qualifying Marks

With the declaration of JEE Main 2026 results, NTA also releases the qualifying marks for the candidates who appeared in JEE Main exam. The qualifying marks are the cut off marks that the candidate must score in order to participate in the centralised counselling conducted by JOSAA.

The tentative qualifying marks for GEN category (common rank list) students are 89.75, for General (EWS category) is 78.21, for OBC-NCL is 74.31, for SC is 54, 44 for ST & 0.11371730 for PWD candidates.

How Cut Off Marks will be Calculated?

NTA declare the cut off marks for the JEE Main 2026 examination along with results. Here we have discussed how cut off is calculated and what factors are taken into account while calculating the cut off marks. Some of these factors are listed below:

  • Number of candidates who appeared in the examination
  • Difficulty level of the examination
  • Number of questions asked in the examination
  • The overall performance level of the candidates.

JEE Main Result 2026

JEE Main Result 2026 has been released on 12th February 2026 for session I. For session 2, it has been declared on 20th April 2026. The result is released on the website, followed by the NTA Cut-Off, rank (category-wise) & final answer key.

Candidates who appear for JEE Main 2026 examination will check their results. Aspirants get their actual score and their results online by entering their login credentials on the website. The result is provided in the form of a percentile.

To check result, candidates have to visit the online link of JEE Main result and enter their application number and date of birth in the specified space. After pressing the submit button, students get their results. One should retain a minimum of 2-3 copies of his/ her result for further use in admission procedure.

JEE Main Counselling 2026

On the basis of the rank list, the counselling procedure is organised. JEE Main 2026 Counselling is scheduled after the release of JEE Advanced AIR and JEE rank list. The counselling procedure will be started from June 2026. JEE Main Counselling comprises some simple steps like:

  • Registration
  • Choice Filling & Locking
  • Seat Acceptance
  • Pay Fee
  • Document Verification (Personal at allotted college)

Admission Process:

Admission process is conducted offline at the institute, where the candidates is allotted the seats. Candidates have to take the seat allotment letter (given by the counselling authority) to the allotted college. Document verification and admission fee payment will be done in allotted institution premises.

Candidates have to pay their admission & course fees. After document check and remitting fee, candidates get their admission ticket/ letter to continue their classes.

JEE Main 2026 Rank List

After the result declaration, the authority releases All India Rank (AIR) and category rank. The AIR is considered by the respective counselling authorities for admissions in NITs, IIITs, and other government and private institutions.

The best of two NTA scores/ percentiles is considered while preparing the rank list. On the basis of marks obtained in the JEE Main exam, a merit list is prepared for admission to Engineering & architecture courses. The merit list is drawn separately for each category.

      You cannot make changes now, and continue participating for further procedure as per the details entered by you during registration process. However, you can still try contacting official authority regarding the same.

  2. My Jee main admit card name and my adhar card name is mismatched. And I couldn’t change the name on my adhar card. So what should I do now. Please give me proper positive answer.
