University Institute of Laws, Panjab University, Ludhiana
University Institute of Laws (UILS), Panjab University, Ludhiana was formed on 5th October 2003. It was inaugurated by the Governor of Punjab, Justice O.P. Verma. The institution is approved by the Bar Council of India & affiliated to the Panjab University. It is one of the constituent units of the Panjab University Regional Centre (PURC).
Campus
The campus is located on PURC, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, Panjab. The Institution has a separate administrative, academic & student’s blocks. The Institution campus is well-connected with the road and rail transport facilities.
Facilities
The Institution has an independent library with an excellent stock of books, references and National & International journals. The library has two big reading halls. There is a well-furnished auditorium with a seating capacity of 250 people. There is a facility of computer centre which provide computing and network facilities. The Institution also offers facilities like as: Seminar hall, Auditorium, Lecture Halls, canteen, sports, moot courts, etc.
Programmes
University Institute of Laws, Panjab University, Ludhiana offers law courses at UG Level, i.e. Bachelor of Laws (LLB) & Bachelor of Arts & Laws (BA (Hons.)LLB). The duration of the LLB Course is three years & duration of the BA (Hons.) LLB is five years. There are 180 seats available for both the courses. Students who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks (45% in the case of reserved category) will be eligible to join these courses.

Admission
The admission into LLB & BA (Hons.) LLB Courses will be based on the law entrance exam conducted by the Panjab University. The merit list will be determined out of 200 marks. Out of which 100 marks are for entrance exam & 100 marks are for the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2.
