The duration of the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme is four and a half years with the compulsory rotational internship training of one year.

Internship
The students enrolled for the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme are required to do the compulsory internship of one year. Internship is a phase of training wherein a graduate is expected to conduct actual practice of medical and health care and acquire skills under supervision so that he/she may become capable of functioning independently. During the internship programme the students study theory along with the practicals.
