Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences, Hassan came into existence in the year of 2006. The institution is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. It is approved by the Medical Council of India, New Delhi.

Campus

The Sri Chamarajendra Hospital is attached to the college. The Institution is situated in an attached hospital campus at Hassan, Karnataka. The Institution building is spread over 25,800 square meter area that includes different departments of administrative and student blocks.

Facilities

There are separate hostels for Boys and Girls with all the necessary facilities. The library is well-stocked with the wide collection of a medical literature that includes journals, books, reference sources, pamphlets, newspapers, magazines. The Institution also has a lecture theater, seminar hall, well-equipped classrooms, laboratory, computer lab, quarters, auditorium, canteen, games, medical, etc. The attached hospital offers the facility of medical to Outpatient and inpatient.

Programmes

Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences, Hassan offers 5 ½ years Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). The intake capacity of the MBBS course is 100. Students will be selected from the All India Entrance Examination and Karnataka-CET entrance exam that is organized by the Government of Karnataka. 85% seats will be filled from state quota and 15% seats will be filled from All India quota. 50% of seats are reserved for SC, ST and OBCs students.
