Desh Bhagat University, School of Ayurveda & Research, Punjab was established in the year of 1996. The school is affiliated to the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. The college is approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicine. The college is associated with the Desh Bhagat Hospital and Desh Bhagat University.
Campus
The college is located in the campus of Desh Bhagat University on Amloh Road, Village Sounti, District Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. It has a huge campus with the provision of academic block, hospital, pharmacy, and student blocks. The college campus is well-linked to the road transportation.
Facilities
The college has separate hostel facility for girls and boys with the intake capacity of 250 students. There is a well established library with a well worth collection of books, newspapers, magazines, reports along with the medical & Ayurvedic journals. The college also has a well-equipped computer lab with latest range of, Laptops, Computers, Scanners, and Printers etc. Other facility offers by the college are indoor and outdoor games, dissection hall, anatomy museum, well equipped laboratories, clinical and non-clinical departments, canteen, auditorium, transport, audio-visual classrooms with the facility of LCD projector. There is also a residential complex for faculty members, staff quarters and guest house.
Programmes
The College offers Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS). The time duration of BAMS is 4 ½ years + 1 year Internship. The numbers of seats available for the BAMS in the college are 60 seats. 50% seats of the BAMS programme are filled through government quota and 50% seats through management quota (including 15% NRI Quota).
