Guru Nanak Dev Dental College & Research Institute, Patiala was established in the year 1997. The institution is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and approved by Dental Council of India (DCI).

Programmes

Guru Nanak Dev Dental College & Research Institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the medical field. The institution offers undergraduate course in Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) for the duration of five years and a compulsory rotatory internship of one year. It offers postgraduate course in Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) for the duration of three years.

Internship

The compulsory rotational paid internship is aimed at improving training in all the different specialties of dentistry. On critical analysis, it was realized that the internship period in dental course provides for better opportunities for practical training and skill development.
