U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Etawah

U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research was established in the year of 2005 by UPRIMS&R, Saifai, Act 2005 notified on 15 Dec 2005. This institution is affiliated with Kanpur University formerly known as Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University and approved by MCI (Medical Council of India).

Campus

This institution has a beautiful and sprawling campus located in Saifai, Etawah. Etawah is the district of the state of Uttar Pradesh. The campus is well-approachable with the road, rail and air transportation. The campus is situated in serene environment which provides a best ambience to concentrate on studies.

Facilities

All the classrooms are well-ventilated and fully furnished and equipped with modern audio-video teaching aids. It houses a fully digital central library which is equipped with databases, tutorials, books, projects, reports, etc. It has also subscribed to various national and international journals. It also houses a seminar hall to conduct seminars and other activities. Other facility includes medical facility, indoor and outdoor sports facility, well-maintained cafeteria, advanced computer center, transportation facility, department wise well-equipped laboratories and many others.

Programmes

U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research runs MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) programme. The duration of this programme is 4 years & 6 months + 1 year internship. This institution offers total 150 seats for MBBS students. It also offers various postgraduate courses such as MD & MS in different medical departments such as Physiology, Anatomy, Orthopaedics, etc. This institution also runs Paramedical Courses and Nursing Courses.
