Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati
Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV), Tirupati is also known as the Women’s University was founded in the year of 1983 by Late Sri N.T.Rama Rao, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. It was established under the Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam Act of 1983. It is a state university that is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Campus
The SPMVV campus is spread in an area of 138.43 acres of land. The university is located in Padmavathi Nagar, Near West Railway Station, Tirupati, Chittoor District. It is situated at a distance of 3 km from the railway and bus stations in Tirupati. The University has necessary buildings to run its academic programmes and administrative machinery.
Facilities
The University has a well-established central library with a wide collection of 75,782 documents, 214 National Journals, books, periodical, newspapers, magazines, reports and etc. The library also comprises 500 CDs on books and 300 floppies on Indexing and Abstracting journals. The university offers the facilities like as accommodation, health centre, yoga, gym, canteen, Recreation rooms, classrooms, conference hall, seminar hall. There is spacious and well-equipped auditorium with a good seating capacity. The computer centre is well-equipped with the all the modern and latest facilities with the internet connectivity.
Programmes
The Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam offers Master of Business Administration (MBA). It is a two-year programmes that consist of four semesters. The university also offers MBA Integrated with B.Tech for the B.Tech students of SPMVV. Some of the specializations of the MBA are mentioned below.
