Indian Institute of Management, Visakhapatnam
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Visakhapatnam is a public business school that was established in the year of 2015 by the Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani. It is an autonomous institution that is approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). The Institution is one of the nineteen Indian Institutes of Management. It is also known as IIM Vizag.
Campus
The Campus is located in Andhra Bank Management Building, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. The Institution is initially working out of the campus of Andhra University whereas the permanent campus will come up at Gambheeram on the border of the city. The new campus is spread over 400-acre of land. The new campus of the Institution was inaugurated by the Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani on 7th January 2015.
Facilities
The Institution has a hostel accommodation only for girls with the facility of mess, internet and sports. There is a facility of anti-ragging cell, auditorium, computer lab (with internet facility), classroom, conference hall and seminar hall. The institution has a fully stocked library with lots of collection of books, journals, magazines, periodicals and newspapers. The Classrooms are well-furnished with the modern equipment facilities that offer better knowledge in learning.
Programmes
The Indian Institute of Management only offers Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM). It is a two-year residential programme with a batch of 60 students.
