University of North Bengal, Darjeeling
The University of North Bengal was established in 1962. It is a state university, in Raja Ram Mohanpur near Siliguri in Darjeeling district in the Indian state of West Bengal. The university has played a pioneering role since its inception in spreading higher education. The University offers degrees in undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil and doctorate programmes. All law courses are approved by the BCI, New Delhi.
Campus
The campus of the university is spread over an area of 330 acres and lies between Siliguri and Bagdogra airport, in the Terai region. The campus has lush green ground with state of art infrastructure which provides a physical environment that is conductive for work and progress.
Facilities
The institution provides all the necessary facilities to the students such as separate residential facilities for boys and girls, library (which consists of periodicals, journals, online data bases and magazines), air-conditioned classrooms, well facilitated computer labs, wi-fi campus, lecture halls, auditorium, and other recreational facilities like canteen, sports facility etc are available in the campus.
Programme
The university offers management courses in the field of Master of Business Administration (MBA) and PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management. Students can take any of the specialization during their final year. Faculty of Arts, Commerce and Law offers five year Bachelor of Law (Law) & Master of Law (LLM).
