The School of Management Studies is a part of Punjabi University was come into existence in the year of 1969. It was instituted with an aim to develop professional managers in the corporate world. To keep the level of education updated, it has signed the MoUs with many foreign universities. It is the first school who started MBA Courses through distance learning for senior defense officers and working executives.
Campus
This school is located in campus of Punjabi University. It is situated in the scenic environment of Patiala. The campus is fully equipped with administrative block, student block, laboratories, theater, conference room, library and many other amenities.
Facilities
This school has well-furnished and spacious classrooms, fully equipped with LCD projector and other audio-visual aids. It also houses air conditioned computer lab equipped with 60 latest desktop, printers and scanners. The library is fully stocked with a collection of 20,000 books related to all areas of Business Management. It also has a collection of 2500 journals. Besides books, journals, etc. It also has a collection of 200 PhD. Thesis. It also has a spacious amphitheater to organize quizzes, competitions, plays, etc.

The School of Management Studies, Punjabi University offers MBA courses (regular) as well as correspondence. It also offers Certificate Course in Business Analytics. It provides MBA Dual Degree Programme, in this course student will pursue its 1st year from the School of Management Studies, Punjabi University and 2nd year from the Wilkes University, USA. The training and placement cell plays an important role in terms to provide placement to students.
