Assam Engineering College, Kamrup

The Assam Engineering College (AEC) was established in the year 1955. it was inaugurated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The institute is affiliated to Gauhati University. It is approved by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education).

Campus

The AEC is situated in Guwahati (Gauhati) city which is about 13 km away from Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport. The AEC is located at Guwahati Railway station (10 km far) and about 11 km from the Interstate Bus Terminus. The Assam Engineering College campus is spread over around 400 acres. The institute is situated at Jalukbari area of Guwahati city.

Since establishment in 1955, Assam Engineering College graduates were in high insisting in all divisions all throughout. From the year 2002, the training and placement cell became an active, practical unit of the college. The main focal point is to direct the students towards their ultimate purpose of the best placement in companies. The TPC begins communication with various associations and industries to make an impression upon them and arrange campus recruitment in the college.
