The Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology frequently called GCELT, is one of the leading Engineering College of our nation which is built up soon after the World War-I by British Raj. The university is approved by the AICTE. This Government Institute is under the regulatory control of the Directorate of Technical education West Bengal and Department of Higher Education of the Government of West Bengal.

Campus

The GCELT is situated near the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass, Block-LB, Sector-III, Salt Lake City, Kolkata, West Bengal. The campus incorporates lab complex, hostels and organization building. The university provides great street facility to join the various blocks of campus.
