Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology Tumkur
Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology was established in the year 1979 by the Sri Siddhartha Educations Society as a private and self-financing institution affiliated by the UTU, Belgaum. In the year 2008 the SSIT was granted the status of deemed to be university by the UGC and approved by the MHRD. All technical courses offered by the college are accredited by the NBA.
Campus
The campus of SSIT is situated in Tumkur district of Karnataka state on national highway-4. The college is locates around 93 km northeast to the Bangalore. The campus is spread over 65 acres of land on Kunigal Road. The campus is 5 km from the Tumkur Bus Stand and 4 km from Tumkur railway station. The campus is well-connected by the rail, road and local transport.

The campus has sports and recreation centre, health centre, central library, well-furnished canteen, co-operative centre, bakery, post office, central computing centre, separate hostel for boys and girls, bank, guest house, cafeteria, transportation, well-equipped laboratories, workshop and well-ventilated and spacious classrooms.
