Government Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara

Government Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara (MEC) is a state government engineering college situated in Thrikkakara near Kochi city of Kerala. The MEC was established in the year 1989 with the objective of providing technical education to the students of the state. The MEC is the first self financing institute developed by the Kerala government under the aegis of Institute of Human Resource Development for Electronics, IHRDE. The college is approved by AICTE and affiliated to CUSAT.

Campus:

Government Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara has a sprawling green campus spread in the total area of 14 acres, located near the Kochi city at Thrikkakara. The college is situated near technology park and industrial campuses like KINFRA Export Promotional Industrial Park, Cochin Special Economic Zone etc.

Facilities:

The college is having decent infrastructure with all major facilities like well equipped labs and workshops, ventilated lecture halls, library with good volumes of books and journals, computer facility, sports facility for students, canteen and mess facility etc.
